ROCK FALLS – Three men are facing a stack of criminal felony drug charges after investigators searched their Rock Falls residence Thursday, finding evidence that the trio possessed and delivered an unknown amount of cannabis, cocaine and heroin, police said Friday.
Rock Falls Police arrested 30-year-old Demarco D. Batson, of Chicago, 28-year-old Brendon J. Johnson, of LaGrange Park, and 28-year-old Tywonne L. Cox, of Crowne Point, Indiana, on suspicion of drug possession and delivery, following a search of their residence in the 200 block of Third Avenue, according to a news release.
Batson and Johnson are each charged with one count of unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, a Class 3 Felony punishable by two to five years in prison, and one count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a Class 4 Felony punishable by one to three years in prison.
Both men are also each charged with two Class X Felonies, one count of unlawful possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, and one count of unlawful possession of heroin with intent to deliver.
Each Class X Felony charge carries a punishment of six to 30 years in prison, and a possible extension of 30 to 60 years.
Cox is charged with one count of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance, a Class 1 Felony punishable by four to 15 years in prison.
The three men are being held in Whiteside County Jail in lieu of bond.
