SPRING VALLEY — Retiring Spring Valley Police Chief Kevin Sangston was acknowledged at Monday’s council meeting for his 31 years of dedicated service to the community.
Mayor Walt Marini presented Sangston with a plaque commemorating and thanking him for his service over the course of his long and distinguished career.
Monday marked Sangston’s final city council meeting as police chief; he’s calling it a career after 31 years and will turn over the reins to someone else at the end of the month. After being recognized by the council Sangston simply said it was his honor to work for the city and he wouldn’t have changed it for anything.
