Historical walking tour of Oswego to cover interesting ground

Join Oswego history enthusiasts Ted Clauser and Linda Dean at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 11, at the historic Little White School Museum to take a step back in the village’s rich history during an Oswego History Walk. Registration is underway.

The leisurely, one-hour walking tour will be sponsored by the Oswegoland Heritage Association and the Oswegoland Park District.

Clauser and Dean will guide participants through some of Oswego’s most historic areas, including the village’s downtown and adjacent areas. The community’s heritage will come alive as visitors pass by homes, businesses, buildings and other sites that have contributed to Oswego’s long history.

Registration fee is $5, and space is limited. Pre-registration is required by calling 630-554-2999 or 630-554-1010, or visiting littlewhiteschoolmuseum.org or www.oswegolandparkdistrict.org.

The walking tour is for people age 16 and older, able to comfortably walk for about one hour. The event will begin and end at the Little White School Museum, 72 Polk St., Oswego. Face coverings and social distancing measures will be practiced for the outdoor walk.
