BOYS GOLF: Curran, Lincoln-Way Central bring home the hardware

PEKIN — Sean Curran closed his high school golf career in a fitting manner.

As a champion.

Curran defeated fellow senior, Mason Minkel from Pekin, in a one-hole playoff to capture the individual medalist honors on Monday at the Class 3A Pekin Sectional at Lick Creek Golf Course in Pekin. In the process, the Clemson-bound Curran helped vault his Lincoln-Way Central squad to the team title in what would be the final high school golf event of the season.
