Here's a look at the Daily Chronicle all-area boys golf team

Daily Chronicle 2020 Boys Golf All-Area Team

Player of the year: Brett Paeglow, sr., DeKalb

All-Area First Team

Josh Pehl, jr., Kaneland - Pehl won the Interstate 8 tournament, was third in the regional, and fifth in the sectional. He averaged 37.6 per nine holes this year.

Sam Faulhaber, sr., Sycamore - Faulhaber led the Interstate 8 in points in the regular season and anchored the Spartans' 6-1 record. He was all-conference and reached the sectional tournament, averaging a 39 per nine holes.

Hagan Rank, jr., Kaneland - Rank averaged a 39.5 this year and was second at the I8 tournament. He was seventh in the regional as well.

Ryan Milton, sr., Kaneland - Milton averaged a 39.9 per nine holes this year and took sixth at the I8 tournament. He tied for the first in the regional but was unable to play in the sectional.

Danny Franzene, sr., DeKalb - A sectional qualifier, he averaged a 40 per nine holes on the season. He finished tied for 24th in what coach Bradley Kerkman called a loaded sectional.

Honorable mention: Lucas Pehl, sr., Kaneland; Cam Russell, sr., Indian Creek; Richard Hintzsche, jr., Hinckley-Big Rock; Elliot McGuire, jr., Hinckley-Big Rock; Ben Hintzsche, soph., Hinckley-Big Rock; Ryan Behrens, sr., Hinckley-Big Rock.; Trevor Pierce, sr., Genoa-Kingston; Landon Ritchie, fresh., Genoa-Kingston
