Mendota Elks announce Teens of the Month for October

MENDOTA — The Mendota Elks have announced their October Teens of the Month are Meghan Davis and Sean Fitzpatrick.

Davis, a senior at Ohio High School, is the daughter of Misty Davis. She is currently second in her class. She has been on the high honor roll every year since she was a freshman. She has been in the National Honor Society since her sophomore year.

She was on the volleyball team her freshman through junior years as well as a co-captain all three years. She played softball her freshman and sophomore years. She was all-conference academic for volleyball and softball her sophomore year.

She was the president her freshman year, treasurer her sophomore year, vice president her junior year and secretary her senior year of her class. As a senior, she was the secretary of Student Council and the president on the National Honor Society.

She was in the school’s variety show her freshman through junior years. She was a crew member for the school play her freshman year. She participated in band and pep band her freshman year.

She was in Drama Club her freshman year, and was in Student Council, Science Club and Reading Buddies all four years. She was in Renaissance and on the Pop Tab Committee her sophomore through senior years.

She has volunteered with the American Red Cross blood drives her freshman through junior years. She helped with the Student Council’s Christmas activities her freshman through senior years. She volunteered at Ohio’s First Lutheran Church Thanksgiving meal and their fish fry her freshman and sophomore years. She volunteered at Christmas for Kids her freshman and sophomore years. She volunteered for LYO Christmas Shopping for Kids her freshman and sophomore years. She participated with the LYO Christmas caroling her freshman year. She participated in ELCA Youth Gathering her sophomore year.

She enjoys hanging out with family and friends. She loves playing volleyball and going to sporting events. She currently works at Beck’s. She has also done some babysitting throughout her high school years. She also enjoys doing things outside.

Fitzpatrick, a junior at Ohio High School, is the son of Rachael and Paul Fitzpatrick. He is currently first in his class and has been on the high honor roll all four years. He has been in the National Honor Society since his junior year. He has also taken two dual credit classes and already earned eight college credit hours.

He has played football all four years. He was on the basketball and track team his freshman through junior years. He was all-conference academic for basketball his sophomore year and for football his junior year. He was Football Mister Defense his junior year. He was honored as the Most Valuable Sprinter his sophomore year in track.

He has been in Science Club and FFA all four years. He has been a part of the FFA Trap Shoot Team, FFA Soil Judging Team and the FFA Live Stock Judging all four years as well. He has been to the FFA state convention and in the FFA state science fair competition his freshman and sophomore years. He attended the HOBY leadership conference his sophomore year.

He was on the Prom Committee his junior year. As a senior, he was also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars.

He has been in the variety show his freshman through junior years. He was the president his sophomore year, vice president his senior year and treasurer his freshman and junior years of his class. He was treasurer his junior year and president his senior for Student Council. He was the Section 2 FFH vice president his senior year. As a senior, he is also the vice president of the National Honor Society.

He was an altar server at St. Mary’s Church his freshman through senior years. He has helped at Jake’s Day his freshman through senior years. He helped at the Ohio Booster Club’s fish fry his freshman and junior years. He helped at the Ohio Lion’s Club pancake breakfast as a freshman. He helped with the Walnut Rotary Club breakfast his freshman through junior years. He has helped the FFA parking cars at Geneseo since his freshman year. He has been a part of Pheasant Forever and their banquet since his freshman year. He has also been a member of the National Turkey Foundation since he was a freshman. Since his freshman year, he has also helped with the Bureau County Farm for a Day.

He enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He likes working on vehicles, playing the guitar, and playing and watching sports.
