DeKALB – DeKalb fire safety officials listed the following warming center locations with the winter months around the corner:
• DeKalb Park District, Hopkins Park Community Center, 1403 Sycamore Road, 815-758-6663
• DeKalb Salvation Army, 830 Grove St., 815-756-4308
• Christ Community Church, 2350 Pride Ave., 815-787-6161
The DeKalb Public Library has been closed to the public since Nov. 18.

Fire officials ask residents to call these facilities for current availability before traveling out into the cold.
Facility operating hours vary and may differ on holidays and facilities may close during severe weather events.
The number of people allowed inside also may be limited because of COVID-19 occupancy restrictions and physical distancing requirements. Face coverings are required.
