New Lenox Park District brings back ice skating to Christmas in the Commons

The New Lenox Community Park District once again partnered with the village to offer ice skating to Christmas in the Commons goers.

The two synthetic rinks allows skating no matter the temperature and can begin being used Dec. 5 through Jan. 3.

The park district encourages skaters to bring their own skates, however skate rentals are available for $7 cash or $7.50 with a card.

While most Christmas in the Commons events only occur on the weekends, including the merchandise vendors, hot chocolate and food vendors and pictures with Santa, ice skating is offered throughout the week.

Christmas in the Commons has restrictions this year that may pertain to the skating.
