An assisted living and memory care provider with 41 locations across eight states has plans to open two residences in McHenry County by early 2022.
Cedarhurst Senior Living recently began construction on the communities, one at 3801 Blake Blvd. in McHenry and the other at 10511 Route 14 in Woodstock, according to a news release.
The long-term care facilities could bring with them upwards of 100 new jobs to the area, according to the release.
Cedarhurst of Woodstock will consist of a single-story 83-unit building with private porches for every apartment and will be located adjacent to Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital and other health care service providers, according to the release.
Cedarhurst of McHenry, a two-story building with 82 units and second floor balconies, will be adjacent to amenities like the Meijer grocery store and Kohl's department store, as well as Northwestern Medicine Immediate Care, according to the release.
"Every Cedarhurst boasts a variety of features, including charming living room areas, a movie theatre, a salon and spa, interior courtyards and outdoor gardens," the company said in the release. "These new residences will also house physical therapy and rehab clinics for convenient, on-site wellness services."
Cedarhurst operates 41 communities across eight states, including Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, Georgia, Kentucky, Florida and Oklahoma.
