Family medicine doctor joins EMG in Plainfield

Dr. Arpit Patel, a family medicine physician, has recently joined Edward Medical Group (EMG).

Patel sees adults and children at the EMG office in Plainfield at 16519 S. Route 59.

Patel earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Portsmouth, Dominica. He completed his residency at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, according to a news release from Edward-Elmhurst Health.

His clinical interests include adolescent and teen medicine, allergic disease, asthma, back pain, cholesterol management, depression, diabetes, high blood pressure, osteoarthritis and obesity, the news release said.

Patel is also a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
