Ollie's Frozen Custard in Sycamore closed temporarily out of COVID-19 concerns

SYCAMORE – A local frozen custard staple in Sycamore announced it will temporarily close because of COVID-19 concerns.

Staff from Ollie's Frozen Custard wrote in a Monday social media post it will be closed temporarily for the week of Monday, Dec. 7 out of health and safety precautions.

"Ollie’s has been in contact with the [DeKalb County] health department and we are following their guidelines for quarantining," staff wrote. "This week we will be disinfecting the entire store from top to bottom."

Staff wrote in the post they are tentatively planning for a Dec. 16 reopening date. More updates will be posted on the business' Facebook and Instagram pages, according to the post.

Starting Thursday, pie and pint or quart frozen custard order forms may be picked up at the business's drive-thru window and submitted by Saturday, according to the post.

"Sorry for this inconvenience," staff wrote. "We are trying to keep everyone safe."
