Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack misses practice again due to shoulder injury

Chicago Bears outside linebacker Khalil Mack plays against the Tennessee Titans during the 2020 season.

Outside linebacker Khalil Mack sat out Bears practice again Thursday while dealing with a shoulder injury. Mack missed his second consecutive day of practice.

Also absent Thursday was defensive back Buster Skrine (concussion), outside linebacker James Vaughters (knee) and receiver Darnell Mooney (personal reason).

Tight end and special teamer J.P. Holtz (shoulder/knee), left tackle Charles Leno (toe) and receiver Allen Robinson (knee) were limited in practice.

Tight end Jimmy Graham, defensive tackle Akiem Hicks and inside linebacker Danny Trevathan all returned to practice after taking an extra day to rest on Wednesday.

The Bears practiced at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, hours after identifying a positive COVID-19 test within the team. Punt return specialist DeAndre Carter was subsequently placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list. It doesn't appear that any other players were deemed to be high-risk close contacts.
