Matthew Huizinga caught the opening kickoff and took it 92 yards for a touchdown that was the opening salvo in the Bulldogs’ 48-0 win against Elgin on Sept. 16.

Batavia’s football team is off to a 3-0 start and coming off a dominant win against Streamwood. And now the hometown fans will actually get a chance to see the Bulldogs play within the Batavia city limits.

What he did: Phillips carried the ball 22 times, scored a touchdown and rushed for a team-high 143 yards as the Bulldogs opened the football season with a 34-24 win against host Belleville West.
