Plainfield East senior wrestler Niko Duggan was voted the Herald-News Athlete of the Week after he won the 157-pound title at the Mickey Marchese Memorial Tournament at Hoffman Estates, pinning two opponents and winning two matches by decisions.

Zion Gross, a junior guard who transferred to Joliet West from Crete-Monee this season, scored eight points and eight rebounds in his second start, helping lift the Tigers past Plainfield North 47-39.

Sophomore Aiden Brown had a pin in the final match of the dual to seal a 39-30 win for Joliet West over Romeoville. Carson Weber and Jakob Crandall also had huge wins for the Tigers.
