LAKE FOREST – Well-known NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus was spotted at Bears training camp Thursday, and apparently he was present for business purposes.
Rosenhaus is pushing for an extension for Bears defensive tackle Akiem Hicks, one of his clients, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. This was at least the second time Rosenhaus was spotted at Bears training camp in recent weeks.
Drew Rosenhaus, agent for Bears’ Pro-Bowl DL Akiem Hicks, has approached the team regarding an extension for his client, who is entering the last year of his contract. Rosenhaus was spotted in Chicago today and said, “Akiem wants to finish his career with the Bears, if possible.”

Hicks has been present and participating almost every day in training camp since it began July 28. The 31-year-old Hicks, typically one of the more boisterous members of the Bears’ locker room, has yet to speak with the media during training camp.
Hicks is entering the final year of the four-year contract extension he signed in 2017. He is making $10.4 million this season. This will be his sixth season in Chicago. He was instrumental in bringing the Bears’ defense back to prominence in 2018.
Hicks has played in at least 15 games in four of his first five seasons with the Bears. An elbow injury in 2019 limited him to only five games. In 2020, he had 3.5 sacks with seven tackles for loss and a fumble recovery.
