The Bears signed 11 players to reserve/futures contracts Tuesday. All 11 players had been on the Bears’ practice squad for all or part of the 2021 season.
The players signed were defensive tackle Auzoyah Alufohai, receiver Isaiah Coulter, offensive lineman Dieter Eiselen, defensive back Michael Joseph, defensive back BoPete Keyes, defensive tackle LaCale London, outside linebacker Ledarius Mack, outside linebacker Charles Snowden, receiver Nsimba Webster, offensive lineman Tyrone Wheatley and quarterback Ryan Willis.
Futures contracts can be given to anyone who was not on the 53-man roster at the end of Week 18. They usually are at the league’s minimum salary and don’t count against the team’s salary cap until the new league year begins in March.
Mack is the brother of Pro Bowl outside linebacker Khalil Mack. Willis served as the Bears’ backup quarterback behind Nick Foles on Dec. 26 when Andy Dalton and Justin Fields were injured. Webster appeared in six games this season primarily as a punt returner.
