Norwegian folk dance troupe to perform in Yorkville

The Sons of Norway Polar Star Lodge 4-472 will host a live performance of the Stoughton, Wisconsin, Norwegian dance troupe on Sunday, March 6, in the gymnasium at Cross Lutheran Church in Yorkville.

The traveling Stoughton Norwegian Dancers troupe consists of high school students who perform traditional Norwegian folk dances in authentic folk costumes (bunad) throughout the Midwest.

The performance is open to all COVID-19-vaccinated and masked members of the community. Doors will open at 1 p.m. and the performance will begin at 1:30 p.m. in the church at 8609 Route 47.

Polar Star Lodge members will sell traditional Norwegian, prepackaged baked goods after the performance.
