Princeton Public Schools Foundation offers scholarship opportunity to students in medical field

Princeton High School

The Princeton Public Schools Foundation has announced a new scholarship opportunity.

PPSF would like to invest in healthcare in the greater Princeton area by providing scholarship opportunities in the medical field, which in turn benefits both PHS scholarship recipients and community residents.

The COVID-19 pandemic has overwhelmed the healthcare system in the United States, underscoring the shortage of qualified graduates and medical service providers throughout the country, especially in rural areas.

PPSF believes access to qualified healthcare is a critical resource to all communities.

The award will be available to graduating seniors and, in its initial year, any PHS student that has graduated in good standing within the past two years.

The Foundation will award $2,000 per semester for up to 8 semesters, as long as the student is enrolled in an accredited healthcare program and continues to meet the eligibility requirements.

Applications will be due on or before March 23, 2022. For further information, contact the Princeton High School Guidance Department at 815-875-3308. Details and the form are also available through the scholarship tab at phs-il.org/guidance.
