Princeton Logan 8ths repeat as SRC champs

MANLIUS - The Princeton Logan eighth grade girls won back-to-back Starved Rock Conference basketball championships, defeating Peru 52-41 Thursday night at Bureau Valley.

Keighley Davis led Logan with 21 points and Camryn Driscoll added 13.

The Lions finished the season 14-0. They also went undefeated in SRC play as seventh graders this spring (8-1 overall), but did not get a chance to have a conference tournament, due to COVID restrictions.

Ottawa beat Bureau Valley 32-18 in Thursday’s third-place game.

Bureau Valley captured Tuesday’s seventh-grade championship, 39-35, over Ottawa.
