Princeton Christian Academy presents ‘A Christmas Carol’

Free performances set Dec. 3 and 4

The sixth through 10th grade students at Princeton Christian Academy will present their version of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” at 6:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 3 and 4, in the school’s auditorium, 21890 Walter Payton Memorial Highway.

The story is set in 1860s London and relates how Ebenezer Scrooge is transformed from a miserly, selfish, unhappy old man into a benefactor to many through a series of dreams showing him the error of his ways. A cast of 26 in 1860 costumes tells the tale through drama, singing and dancing. The production is directed by Marty Kiser.

The public is invited to get into the Christmas spirit by attending the event. The play is a Christmas gift to the community, so there is no charge for admission. Those wishing to help with expenses may contribute to a freewill offering.

Princeton Christian Academy is located about 2.5 miles northeast of Princeton on U.S. 34.
