DeKalb Park District accepting fifth annual holiday decorating contest entries

DeKALB – The DeKalb Park District is accepting entries for its fifth annual DeKalb Holiday House Decorating Contest.

The entry submissions are due Dec. 10.

Whether your style is classic and cozy or dazzlingly over-the-top, there’s a category for everyone!

Staff judging will run from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m. Dec. 11. Prizes are awarded in the following categories: Best Overall Theme, Light Up the Town, and People’s Choice. The entries addresses will be published in local media, unless specified otherwise.

People’s Choice voting runs from Dec. 12 through Dec. 19 on the park district’s Facebook page. The picture with the most “likes” will be named the winner. Voting ends at 9 p.m. Dec. 19, with the winning image being announced Dec. 20. The winners will receive prize packages donated by Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.
