Naperville Central 41, DeKalb 34: At DeKalb, Alex Gregorio-Perez (105), Reese Zimmer (120) and Lana Zimmerman (135) all picked up first-period pins for the Barbs.

Frieda Hernandez had the Barbs' only other on-the-mat win with a technical fall at 110.

Boys wrestling

Rochelle 42, Sycamore 33: At Rochelle, Cooper Bode (175), Collin Hughes (285) and Jayden Dohogne (138) recorded pins for the Spartans.

Michael Olson (120) and Tyler Lockhard (126) also recorded on-the-mat wins for the Spartans.

Stillman Valley triangular: Genoa-Kingston lost 80-0 to Oregon and 42-18 to Stillman Valley.

Kaleb Lancaste was 1-1 with a pin at 120 for the Cogs.

Girls basketball

Durand 36, Indian Creek 32: At Shabbona, the Timberwolves were down 10 with 7 minutes left but cut it to three in the final 60 seconds.

Isabella Turner scored 17 points to lead IC.

Alden-Hebron 52, Hiawatha 15: At Alden-Hebron, Nelly Delvalle scored seven to lead the Hawks.

Boys basketball

Byron 63, Genoa-Kingston 62: At Forreston, the Cogs dropped the Forreston Holiday Classic semifinal to the Tigers.

Nathan Kleba sank seven 3-pointers as part of a 24-point performance in the victory. G-K will face either Winnebago or Warren for third at 5 p.m. Friday.
