SYCAMORE – The DeKalb County Master Gardeners will host an artisan market and the next edition of the Gardeners Pathway series.
The event will be from 7:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. Feb. 22 at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau, 1350 W. Prairie Drive, Sycamore.
Admission is $50. Registration is required and open through Feb. 8.
Attendees will be able to buy garden-related crafts and plants from artisans and nurseries. The event also includes a continental breakfast, boxed lunch, refreshments and door prizes. The event’s keynote speaker will be author, garden educator, design consultant and Perennially Yours owner Kerry Ann Mendez. Copies of Mendez’s book also will be for sale.
“We are so fortunate to have a community-minded company like Proven Winners, who is willing to support educational programming,” Extension program coordinator Connie Handel said in a news release.
The Gardeners Pathway workshops schedule includes:
- Check-in, continental breakfast: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
- Welcome and keynote: 8:30 to 10 a.m.
- First breakout session: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m.
- Lunch: 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- Second breakout session: 12:15 to 1:15 p.m.
- Third breakout session: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Door prizes and evaluations: 2:30 to 2:45 p.m.
