Sycamore wins boys wrestling; HBR girls advance to Little Ten final

Boys basketball

Hinckley-Big Rock 77, Parkview Christian 57: Martin Ledbetter put up 26 points and 10 rebounds and the Royals pulled ahead for a nonconference victory.

Max Hintzsche scored 15 points and Luke Badal added 12.

Girls basketball

Hinckley-Big Rock 55, Somonauk 52: Sami Carlino had 19 points and eight rebounds to help the Royals to a Little Ten Conference tournament win.

Anna Herrman had 12 points and seven rebounds.

The Royals advance to the championship game against Serena at 8 p.m. on Friday.

Rochelle 47, Sycamore 41: At Rochelle, the Hubs held onto a lead for an Interstate 8 Conference victory.

Earlville 61, Hiawatha 31: Brielle Molloy recorded a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds but the Hawks fell in Little Ten Conference tournament action.

Nelly Delvalle added 10 to the scoring.

Serena 64, Indian Creek 38: The Timberwolves battled but came up short in Little Ten Conference tournament play.

Isabella Turner had 17 points, Ally Keilman had 10 and Bethany Odle added six.

Rockford Lutheran 55, Genoa-Kingston 33: Ally Poegel led the scoring with 18 points but the Cogs fell in a Big Northern Conference matchup.

Sydney Hansen and Ari Rich added four points each.

Boys wrestling

Sycamore 42, Morris 25: The Spartans won big in an Interstate 8 Conference matchup.

Cooper Bode, Adam Carrick, Clyde Nott, Collin Hughes, Carson West, Thomas Lind, Jayden Dohogne and Douglas Gemberling all had wins for Sycamore.
