Boys basketball
DeKalb 49, Naperville North 39: At Naperville, Sean Reynolds became the Barbs' all-time leading scorer as DeKalb took the DuPage Valley Conference contest from the host Huskies. DeKalb improved to 15-5, 4-1 in the DVC.
Reynolds scored 21 in the win and is up to 1,602 for his career, surpassing 2010 grad Jordan Threloff’s school record.
Kaneland 64, Ottawa 39: At Maple Park, Jeffrey Hassan scored 18 points as the Knights won their 17th straight contest with the win in the Interstate Eight. Freddie Hassan and Marshawn Cocroft added 12 points each for Kaneland (18-1, 5-0).
Sycamore 89, Rochelle 78: At Rochelle, Jake Shipley led a balanced scoring night for the Spartans with 18 as Sycamore took the Interstate Eight contest. Xander Lewis added 15 and Isaiah Feuerbach and Unique Shaw tossed in 13 each for the Spartans (16-5, 5-1).
Byron 79, Genoa-Kingston 47: At Byron, the Cogs' four-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of the Tigers in a Big Northern Conference contest. Marcus Johnson poured in a game-best 27 points to lead G-K (10-10, 1-3).
Boys wrestling
DuPage Valley Championships: At Naperville, DeKalb edged out the host RedHawks by half a point to win the DuPage Valley Conference title. Jaden Bradley (106), Michael Hodge (144). Hudson Ikens (150), Cam Matthews (157), and Sean Kolkebeck (165) won individual titles. Ikens was named Most Outstanding Wrestler.
Girls basketball
Kaneland 48, Ottawa 45: At Maple Park, Kendra Brown scored 14 points to lead the Knights to the win over the Pirates. Sam Kerry added 11 points and Kyra Lilly and Amani Meeks chipped in with nine each for Kaneland (15-9, 6-1).
Somonauk 51, Indian Creek 45: At Earlville, the Timberwolves fell in the third-place game of the Little Ten tournament. Isabella Turner led IC (4-8) with 15 points. Madison Boehne added 13 for the Timberwolves.
Naperville North 44, DeKalb 40: At Naperville, the Barbs fell to the Huskies in a DVC contest.
Serena 50, Hinckley-Big Rock 41: At Earlville, the Huskers won their fourth straight Little Ten Conference tournament title by defeating the Royals in the title game.
