NIU 80, Central Michigan 75: At DeKalb, Chelby Koker scored 19, including drawing seven fouls and going 9 of 10 from the line in the win for the Huskies (9-11, 3-6).
Koker added eight assists, four steals and a team-high four rebounds. Brooke Blumenfeld had 18 points and also grabbed four rebounds. Brooke Stonebreaker added 11 points, while Lexi Carlsen had nine points and six assists.
NIU won despite Central Michigan holding a 47-22 edge on the glass. NIU led by as much as 17 in the first half, but the Chippewas got within two in the fourth as the Huskies held on.
“I thought we came out of the locker room ready to go, and that was really important,” head coach Lisa Carlsen said. “The more we could make [Central Michigan] uncomfortable and steal some possessions that way gave us a better opportunity. That’s how we got to 80 points. We took the ball away on the defensive end and shot it well offensively.”

Richmond-Burton 66, Genoa-Kingston 41: At Genoa, Marcus Johnson scored 26 points in the nonconference loss for the Cogs.
Boys wrestling
North Boone quad: At Poplar Grove, Genoa-Kingston was 1-2 with a 78-6 win over Schaumburg Christian.
The Cogs lost to Byron (81-0) and North Boone (48-42).
