Lunar New Year celebration set for Feb. 4 in Sycamore

SYCAMORE – The Sycamore Public Library will host an event for patrons to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

The celebration will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library, 103 E. State St.

The free event is for teenagers and adults.

Attendees can learn about the Chinese calendar’s significance; its Lunar New Year relation; and symbols, rites and customs. Participants also will learn about ideas to celebrate at home. Food will be provided. Registration is required to attend.
