Kaneland sophomore Leah Hayes qualified for the Girls Swimming State Tournament, winning both the 100-yard freestyle and the 200-yard individual medley on Saturday in the St. Charles North Sectional.
Hayes finished the medley in 2:00.29 and the 100 free in 49.78.
Kaneland was 11th as a team with 11 points. DeKalb-Sycamore took ninth with 43 points but had no individual qualifiers.
BOYS BOWLING
Sycamore third, DeKalb ninth: The Spartans took third in their home tournament with a 5,547, behind champ St. Charles East (5,969).
Tommy Reboletti was fourth with a 1,246 and Graham Hillgoss was fifth with a 1,237 for the Spartans.
DeKalb finished with a 5,128. Jacob Lindgren paced the Barbs with a 1,215, good for seventh.
Kaneland was 13th with a 3,747. Lucas Johnson rolled a 923 to take 50th to lead the Knights.
