Five to watch: Scouting the top players in the area

Gray was a first-team all conference and all-area player last season as a sophomore. She led the Barbs in scoring at 12.5 points a game to go along with five boards and about three assists a game.

Schueler was injured last year but was a standout for the Knights two years ago. She returns as Kaneland looks to challenge Sycamore for I8 supremacy.

Ashleigh Wackerlin, jr. Hinckley-Big Rock

Wackerlin is entering her fourth year on varsity and her third as a starter. Last season she was all-conference in the Little 10 as a junior and was an honorable mention on the Daily Chronicle All-Area team.

Faith Feuerbach, sr., Sycamore

Feuerbach is a four-year varsity player and was co-MVP of the Interstate 8 last season with teammate Ella Shipley. Feuerbach also was a first team All-Area selection last season. Feuerbach averaged just less than 14 points a game, 4.5 boards and two steals.

Shipley shared co-MVP of the I-8 last season with teammate Faith Feuerbach. She also was first team All-Area. She filled the stat sheet with 7.9 points, 3.4 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals a game.
