KINGSTON - Kingston Elementary school teacher Maddi Bodine was surprised outside the school this morning and awarded the 2021 Golden Apple award for excellence in teaching.

Bodine did not know the award was coming, and was greeted by her Pre-K Genoa-Kingston school district colleagues, students and media outside the building Thursday to surprise her with the prestigious award.
