Men’s basketball: NIU falls to red-hot Kent State

The NIU men’s basketball team dropped its fifth straight game, Tuesday, falling at home to Kent State, 63-55, in Mid-American Conference play.

Keshawan Williams had 16 points to lead the Huskies (8-20, 5-13 MAC), who close the regular season Friday at home against Central Michigan.

Chinedu Kingsley Okabu had 14 points for NIU. Darweshi Hunter and Adong Makuoi each had a team-best six steals.

The Huskies got to within six with 2:30 left on a 3-pointer by Williams but got no closer as the Flashes (19-9, 14-4) picked up their 11th straight win.
