This year, Kishwaukee United Way partnered with CST Industries for a second time to match employees with 32 families to give gifts, including winter clothing, educational toys, monetary gift cards and extra toys.

The Wish List recipients were local families experiencing need.

Kishwaukee United Way partnered with Northern Illinois University’s Permanency Enhancement Project (PEP), which is part of a collaborative effort between NIU and the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to improve permanency outcomes and address racial and ethnic disparities in the northern region of the state.

In December 2024, Kishwaukee United Way partnered with CST Industries for a second time to match employees with 32 families to give gifts, including winter clothing, educational toys, monetary gift cards and extra toys.

Additionally, the Christmas match program extended its reach by partnering with Girls on the Run, a nonprofit in DeKalb that inspires participants of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths while building a sense of connection in a team setting.

The generosity displayed through the Community Christmas match program is truly inspiring, reflecting the selfless nature of our community members dedicated to supporting their neighbors.

I’m grateful for this commitment, highlighting the importance of ensuring everyone’s needs are met. As we wrap up this season of giving, we eagerly anticipate our community’s ongoing dedication to uplifting and empowering one another. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of those around us.
