Manteno girls improve to 10-0; G-SW boys fall in holiday tournament action

Chicago Christian Christmas Tournament

Manteno 65, Marshall 46

The Panthers got into the Christmas spirit with a win to open tournament play on Monday. Their 19-point win improved their overall record to 10-0 on the season.

Lila Prindeville led the team with 18 points to go with five rebounds and four steals. Bella Gigliello had 12 points and five rebounds. Maddie Gesky and Emily Horath had eight points apiece. Gesky also had a team-high 13 rebounds.

Plano Holiday Tournament

Kaneland 84, Gardner-South Wilmington 41

The Panthers matched with Kaneland, the top seed in the Plano Holiday Tournament, on Monday. They were outscored by 43 in the first half before bouncing back a bit with 18 points in the third quarter, but ultimately lost by that same 43-point margin. They fell to 1-11 on the season.

Cole Hampson led the team with 16 points. Leondre Kemp chipped in 11 points.
