Bourbonnais' Very Merry Coloring Contest winners announced

Bourbonnais – The Village of Bourbonnais announced the winners for the fifth annual “Very Merry Coloring Contest.”

The contest was open to village residents of all ages and free to participate. A record-breaking total of 169 entries were received by the contest deadline of Dec. 18. The 2023 event welcomed 83 entries.

In the ‘Ages 6 & Under Category,’ Charlotte Ramirez placed first, Molly Kerouac placed second and Haddie Roop placed third.

In the ‘Ages 7-10 Category,’ Khloe Kuttler placed first, Emersyn Arlis placed second and Evelyn Tousignant placed third.

In the ‘All Ages/Family Category,’ The Ehrman Family placed first, The Jones Family placed second and Dan & Val Guenette placed third.

In the ‘Special Needs Category,’ Jori Wehrmann claimed first place.

“Thank you to all 169 entries for participating in this festive and free family activity,” said Mayor Paul Schore in a press release. “Congratulations to all! With so many talented artists in Bourbonnais, I’m very thankful for the judges who had a difficult time selecting winners.”

Guest judges included Rory Parilac and Becca Maree of the Bourbonnais Public Library District and Nikki Moore of Little Me Studio.

First place winners in each category received a $100 Visa gift card; second place winners received a $50 Visa gift card; and 3rd place winners received a $25 Visa gift card. Prizes were made possible by the event sponsors Ahhh…Massage and Aqua Illinois.
