The weekly release of the IHSA AP Basketball Polls on Wednesday featured three local teams retaining their spots as ranked teams. One team fell slightly in the rankings while the other two moved up. Six other teams received votes in the poll.
On the boys side, Kankakee fell slightly in the Class 3A poll, from third to sixth, after going 2-0 on the week. For the girls, Cissna Park moved up to fourth in the Class 1A poll, after being ranked fifth last week. The Watseka girls team climbed from 10th to eight in the Class 2A poll.
Both the boys and girls teams from Bishop McNamara, Coal City and Wilmington received votes in their respective Class 2A polls.
