Kankakee Public Library hosting Winter Sowing program Saturday

The Kankakee Public Library will host a Winter Sowing program on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Winter sowing is a technique for starting seed outdoors in containers during winter.

The cold weather helps the seeds germinate in the spring. The Library will provide one milk jug per participant, but please bring more if you’d like to create multiple seed starters to bring home.

This program is free; please call the library if attending at 815-939-4564. The Library is located at 201 E. Merchant St. in downtown Kankakee.
