The Kankakee County Museum will be celebrating Valentine’s Day this year with some style from New Orleans.
The Valentine’s date night on Feb. 22 will be inspired by the vibrant energy of New Orleans’ Mardi Gras.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. and will be hosted at 801 S. Eighth Ave., Kankakee, featuring live music, festive decor, food and a masquerade.
The menu will be curated by the Bennett-Curtis House in Grant Park. Items on the menu include gumbo soup, bayou greens salad, jambalaya, bayou chicken, cornbread and King Cake bites.
For drinks, hurricane mocktails and mint lemonade will be served.
A general admission ticket includes a dinner for two for $100, and $80 for museum members.
