Friday’s results

Cary-Grove 55, Grayslake Central 27: Nick Hissong scored four times, Toby Splitt recorded a pick-six, and Cary-Grove routed Grayslake Central on its way to the Class 6A quarterfinals.

Crystal Lake Central 14, Deerfield 7: Deerfield needed just two plays to take the lead Friday, but the Tigers defense put the clamps down from there to earn a victory in their Class 6A second-round matchup.

Prairie Ridge 49, Wauconda 20: Prairie Ridge set the tone early, getting its triple-option offense in gear from the opening play. The Wolves rolled up 343 yards rushing on 31 attempts in the first half alone.
