More than a century's worth of gratitude

So although Silver Cross won't be able to celebrate its 125 years with a major event, hospital CEO Ruth Colby is extremely thankful, for 125 years and the way hospital staff and community members has responded to the COVID-19 pandemic this year. "One, I'm thankful to the people in our community who supported us during this very tough time by bringing masks and bring us food and writing notes of appreciation to our team," Colby said. "It has been absolutely wonderful." Second, the staff at Silver Cross "has been nothing short of amazing," Colby said. "They come to work every day and many of them put themselves at risk," Colby said. "They take care of very, very sick people and come back tomorrow and the next day, and they do the same thing."
