Photos: Exploring the highest natural points in the Illinois Valley

The ridge next to the wind turbine is La Salle County's highest natural point at 920 feet above sea level, located in Mendota Township. The high point, photographed Thursday, June 30, 2022, can be spotted on the west side of the road about half way between North 47th and 48th Roads along East Fourth Road. (Scott Anderson)
