Photos: Rescue drone demo in Dixon

Dave Lohse, Deputy Chief of Dixon Fire, starts a demonstration at Sewer Equipment of Dixon of the department’s new rescue drone. A donation from the company, along with many others that came in from the area, helped make the purchasing and training of the device possible. Jim Shirk, engineering manager of Sewer Equipment of Dixon, died tragically while kayaking the Rock River. A drone such as this can help go towards saving lives. (Alex T.
