Photos: Morton Arboretum in Lisle prepares trees for emergence of cicadas

The trees will be covered in tulle, which is the same fabric that is used to make ballerinaÕs tutus. Hundreds of young and vulnerable trees will be covered in fine-mesh netting at The Morton Arboretum over several days to protect them from the imminent cicada emergence.
