PHOTOS: McHenry County Jewish Congregation finds new home at local church

Rabbi Maralee Gordon assists members in removing Torah Scrolls as the McHenry County Jewish Congregation held a deconsecration ceremony at their Ridgefield Road location in preparation for a move to the Tree of Life Unitarian Church in McHenry on Sunday, August 18. Mezuzot were removed from doorways and the Torah Scrolls were removed from their ark and transported to the new building as worshipers consecrated the new building as their synagogue.
