Peru firefighters and paramedics work the scene of a multiple vehicle crash at the intersection of Illinois Route 251 and May Road on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025 in Peru. The crash happened around 12:45p.m. Ambulances from Peru, La Salle, Mendota Spring Valley, and Oglesby responded to the scene to transport multiple victims to area hospitals. Peru and La Salle police along with Illinois State Police also responded to the crash. (Scott Anderson)
