Photos: U.S. Air Force VR experience comes to La Salle-Peru High School

Marquis Lorenzi, a student at La Salle-Peru High School, pilots an F-35 fighter through a canyon during “Own The Sky,” a USAF Virtual Airborne Experience on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in the Dolan Building parking lot at L-P High School. Students had the option to pilot an F-35 fighter through a canyon using a real-life throttle and flight stick or operate a replica KC-135 boom pod to refuel several airborne aircraft including a B-2 Stealth Bomber. The simulator was brought to La Salle-Peru High School with the help of the U.S. Air Force recruitment office inside the Peru Mall. (Scott Anderson)
