Woodland 55, Peoria Heights 37: At the Warrior Dome in rural Streator, the Warriors led 12-5 after one, 26-21 at halftime and 45-33 heading to the fourth in the win over the Patriots.

Nick Plesko netted 20 points and Connor Dodge 13 points for Woodland (7-3).

Plano 59, Ottawa 56: At Plano, the Pirates were outscored 24-15 in the fourth quarter in the loss to the Reapers.

Aric Threadgill and Owen Sanders each had 15 points for Ottawa, with Evan Snook adding 13 points and Kyler Araujo 11 points.

Sandwich 59, Serena 47: At Serena, the Indians, led by 19 points, eight rebounds and four steals from Simeion Harris, topped the Huskers.

Dom Rome added 13 points and nine rebounds for Sandwich (2-7) while Griffin Somlock chipped in 11 points and three steals.

Payton Twait led Serena (5-4) with 19 points.

Dwight 68, Newark 62: At Dwight, the Norsemen fell short against the Trojans.

Dylan Long had 24 points, eight rebounds and five assists for Newark. Cody Kulbartz had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Payton Wills nine points, five rebounds and five steals, Reggie Chapman six points and three assists, and Jimmy Kath eight points and six assists.

Somonauk 60, Putnam County 24: At Granville, the Bobcats rolled to the win over the Panthers.

Somonauk was led by Brock Sexton (16 points), Weston Hannibal (12 points) and Silas Johnson (10 points).

Fieldcrest 40, Heyworth 39: At Minonk, Ed Lorton and Jordan Heider each scored 14 points to help the Knights slip past the Hornets for the Heart of Illinois Conference triumph.

El Paso-Gridley 76, Flanagan-Cornell 35: At El Paso, the Falcons fell to the Titans in the HOIC contest.

Girls basketball

Marquette 64, Yorkville Christian 57: At Yorkville, the Crusaders, led by 33 points and six rebounds from Kaitlyn Davis, a triple-double of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists from Hunter Hopkins, and 10 rebounds from Kelsey Cuchra topped the Mustangs.

Plainfield Central 51, Streator 32: At the Ottawa Holiday Tournament in Kingman Gym, the Bulldogs trailed 15-8 after one, 25-17 at halftime and 45-24 heading to the fourth.

Ava Gwaltney led Streator (0-13) with 13 points with Leah Krohe adding eight points and Rhea Huey chipping in five points.

Pontiac 56, Newark 22: At the Ottawa Holiday Tournament in Kingman Gym, the Norsemen fell to the Indians.

Sterling Newman 63, Earlville 14: At the Polo Holiday Tournament, the Red Raiders fell to the Comets.

Jessie Miller had four points and four steals, with Bailey Miller posting two points and eight rebounds for Earlville.

Sycamore 3,529, Ottawa 3,127: At Mardi Gras Lanes in Sycamore, the Pirates fell to the Spartans in the Interstate 8 Conference dual

Caden Walter led Ottawa with a 604 high series and high games of 218 and 206. Will Znaniecki added a 584 and a high game of 218.
