A La Salle man was charged Saturday with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, and released with a court date, for allegedly firing a BB gun at a car.

Jose Godina, 18, was charged after La Salle police were dispatched at 12:40 p.m. Saturday to Second and Crosat streets after the caller described the man wielding a pistol.

Godina “admitted to his involvement in the incident” but told police it was only a BB gun. Godina’s brother eventually surrendered what they described as “a Glock handgun style BB gun.”
