Hall, Mendota, Bureau Valley volleyball teams knocked out of postseason

Kewanee 2, Hall 0: In the third meeting between the Three Rivers Conference East Division foes this season, the No. 10-seeded Red Devils had their season ended with a 25-16, 25-19 loss to the No. 9 Boilermakers in a Class 2A Illinois Valley Central Regional quarterfinal in Chillicothe.

Hall finishes 8-20-2, while Kewanee advances to play the No. 2-seeded hosts.

Coal City 2, Mendota 0: The No. 8-seeded Spikers fell 25-17, 25-23 to the No. 6 Coalers in a Class 2A Mendota Regional quarterfinal in Mendota.

Mendota finishes 12-20-1, while Coal City moves on to play top-seeded Fieldcrest.

Rockridge 2, Bureau Valley 0: Emma Stabler had 17 kills and six digs as the No. 8-seeded Storm lost 25-23, 25-21 to the No. 9 Rockets in a Class 2A Sherrard Regional quarterfinal in Sherrard.

Kate Salisbury had 21 assists for Bureau Valley, which finishes 14-7, while Taylor Neuhalfen contributed nine points, seven digs and a block.

Rockridge will face top seed Orion in the semifinals.
