GIRLS BASKETBALL

Mendota 54, Earlville 16: Laylie Denault had 16 points, five rebounds, two steals and two assists Friday to lead the Trojans to a nonconference victory in Mendota.

Ella Martin had 15 points, five rebounds, five steals and five assists for Mendota, while Ava Eddy added 10 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Princeton 63, Plainfield Central 20: Keighley Davis poured in 25 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and swiped five steals as the Tigresses won their pool in the Ottawa Holiday Tournament.

Camryn Driscoll had 17 points, 11 steals and seven rebounds for Princeton, while Payton Brandt added seven points and five rebounds.

Fulton 53, Bureau Valley 46: Libby Endress scored 15 points as the Storm lost a nonconference game in Fulton.

Kadyn Haage had 11 points and Emma Mussche added nine for BV.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Fieldcrest 44, Eureka 39: Eddie Lorton scored 20 points to lead the Knights to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory in Minonk.

Braden Hahn scored eight points for Fieldcrest (8-0, 2-0 HOIC), while Layten Gerdes added seven points.

Kewanee 55, Hall 48: The Red Devils lost a Three Rivers Conference East Division game in Spring Valley.

Lowpoint-Washburn 51, Putnam County 38: The Panthers led after each of the first three quarters but were outscored 17-3 in the fourth in a Tri-County Conference loss in Washburn.

Somonauk 60, LaMoille 33: The Lions dropped a Little Ten Conference game in Somonauk.

Indian Creek 76, DePue 40: The Little Giants lost a Little Ten Conference game in Shabbona.

Dwight 51, Henry-Senachwine 34: The Mallards lost a Tri-County Conference game in Henry.
