GIRLS BASKETBALL

St. Bede 59, Seneca 57: Savannah Bray scored 17 points Monday to help the No. 4-seeded Bruins to an upset of the No. 1 Fighting Irish in a Tri-County Conference semifinal in Roanoke.

Lili McClain had 16 points for St. Bede (14-9), while Ashlyn Ehm added 14 points.

The Bruins will play No. 3 Marquette in the championship at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. The Crusaders beat No. 2 Roanoke-Benson 51-43 in Monday’s other semifinal.

At Byron: Hall lost a pair of games at the Byron MLK Tournament.

The Red Devils lost 55-42 to Byron and 50-31 to Galena.

Ella Sterling scored 11 points to lead Hall (14-9) against Byron, while Caroline Morris and Natalia Zamora added eight points each.

Indian Creek 56, Earlville 29: The No. 5-seeded Red Raiders lost to the No. 4 Timberwolves in a Little Ten Conference Tournament quarterfinal in Earlville.

Earlville will face No. 8 Hiawatha in a consolation semifinal at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Erie-Prophetstown 35, Bureau Valley 32: Libby Endress scored 14 points as the Storm lost a nonconference game on the road.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Tolono Unity 62, Princeton 60: The Tigers rallied from a 21-point deficit but came up short in the Bloomington Central Catholic MLK Shootout in Bloomington.
